· Will be an advocate for all San Marcos residents and business owners.

· Will be a leader that encourages more citizen involvement in helping to run our government.

· Will be an advocate/leader for important projects which will integrate growth and development while protecting our natural resources and environment.

· Work to assure greater transparency and understanding in our community’s government.

· Will work for City Council policies that promote and enrich the live/work/shop San Marcos lifestyle in a manner that unifies rather than divides the City Council.

· Fight to protect our local tax dollars against “raids” by the State government so that local dollars stay in San Marcos to benefit our residents and businesses.

· Will be a leader to expand and provide meaningful opportunities for our city’s youth to participate in enriching activities, such as promoting safety and personal responsibility in the fight against drugs, graffiti and gang activities.

· Work to protect and preserve an affordable lifestyle for our citizens, especially seniors and other disadvantaged families.

· Seek to expand and improve maintaining our police and fire departments.

· Work to assure that there are more family-oriented city-sponsored activities and facilities, such as an interactive children’s museum or parks and recreation.
